We are now looking for engaged and responsible summer substitutes for two of our operations within social psychiatry, Nya Utsikten and SIROB. The target group is adults with mental illness/disabilities who have difficulties managing daily life on their own and need social support in their everyday lives. Comorbidity often occurs, frequently in combination with substance abuse/dependency issues.
The operations are nicely located a kilometer outside Kristinehamn's center.
Nya Utsikten is a group home with 14 residential places and a communal area. Close care tasks are involved.
SIROB stands for “collaboration in resources and housing”. The staff at SIROB works both in a supported living environment and with housing support measures for people in regular housing. The tasks include pedagogical support, conversations, testing, medication management, reporting, and record-keeping.
The purpose of our operations is to provide support to users so they can increase their independence and improve their quality of life.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide social and practical support in everyday life.
- Support users in managing routines, social contacts, and activities.
- Work based on individual needs with the goal of promoting independence and well-being.
- Document according to the operation's guidelines and routines.
In our operations, your main task is to motivate and support individuals with mental disabilities and comorbidity in their daily lives. The job is social and varied, and you need to be flexible and solution-oriented to succeed. You will have significant responsibility for ensuring that the work is carried out, and you will work both independently and with engaged and knowledgeable colleagues. Together, you contribute to the quality of life for our users and strengthen their ability to live independently.
You have the opportunity to work throughout or parts of the summer. With us, you will work varied hours such as day/evening, night, and weekends depending on the operation.
If you want to start working extra already in the spring, there is an opportunity for that. A great way to get into the job and earn extra money before summer!
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome applicants who have:
- High school diploma
- Driver's license B (manual transmission)
- Good ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
We would also like you to have experience working in social psychiatry/substance abuse or healthcare. Experience with low-arousal approaches and MI (motivational interviewing) is also an advantage.

You are proactive and self-driven, while also being adaptable to changing conditions and the needs of different individuals. You work in a structured manner and are clear in your communication, which creates security and trust in interactions with both users and colleagues. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team, contributing to a positive work climate. With your empathetic ability, you meet people with respect, attentiveness, and understanding, and you maintain a professional attitude in all situations.
